Student Spotlight on Sebastian Sosa
What got you started in acting? When did you know that you know that you wanted to be an actor?
I started acting when I was around seven for our local community theatre and instantly knew that I wanted a career in the industry.
What actor or filmmaker inspires you?
An actress that inspires me is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta otherwise known as Lady Gaga not only is she an award winning singer but she also has starred in American Horror Story and A Star is Born she inspires me because she is an amazing human rights activist while being an amazing celebrity and fashion ICON.
Any current projects?
I have booked a couple of commercials in the span of 2 weeks which should be playing soon.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
Hopefully, I will be at UT where I will get my Master’s Degree in Fine Art and soon after become a PR director most likely based in Austin.
What do you think the challenges teens today are facing in the industry with COVID-19?
The challenges that I faced is that mostly everything you book has to be in state. I faced this when I was on hold for a Hulu series pilot that was filming in LA but since I live in TX I ended up not getting it.
What kinds of projects do you hope to be a part of in your career? What would be a dream role?
I hope one day I will be able to star in a series regular similar to Modern Family or The Goldbergs like a comedic series, although my absolute dream role would be to be in a supernatural series with witches vampires etc like The Vampire Diaries or Supernatural.
